Discomfort or pain in the lower or upper back, often resulting from muscle strain, poor posture, or underlying medical conditions. The lumbar area is the most common area affected.[2] An episode of back pain may be acute, subacute or chronic depending on the duration. The pain may be characterized as a dull ache, shooting or piercing pain or a burning sensation.

Pain or stiffness in the neck region, which can be caused by poor posture, muscle strain, or cervical spine issues.Neck pain, although felt in the neck, can be caused by numerous other spinal problems. Neck pain may arise due to muscular tightness in both the neck and upper back, or pinching of the nerves emanating from the cervical vertebrae.

Pain or discomfort in the shoulder area, commonly due to rotator cuff injuries, bursitis, or frozen shoulder. The articulations between the bones of the shoulder make up the shoulder joints. The shoulder joint, also known as the glenohumeral joint, is the major joint of the shoulder, but can more broadly include the acromioclavicular joint.

Pain or discomfort in the knee joint, often resulting from arthritis, ligament injuries, or overuse. The knee joint consists of an articulation between four bones: the femur, tibia, fibula and patella. There are four compartments to the knee. These are the medial and lateral tibiofemoral compartments, the patellofemoral compartment and the superior tibiofibular joint.

Injury to the ankle ligaments, typically caused by rolling or twisting the ankle, leading to pain, swelling, and difficulty walking. If your pain is in your heel, you may have plantar fasciitis. That’s an irritation or inflammation of the band of tough tissue connecting the heel bone to the toes. Usually, it hurts the worst in the morning when you’re getting out of bed. You can feel it in your heel or your arch.

Pain and inflammation around the outer part of the elbow, usually due to overuse or repetitive strain on the forearm muscles. The pain of tennis elbow occurs mainly where the tough, cord-like tissues of the forearm muscles attach to a bony bump on the outside of the elbow. The tissues are known as tendons. Pain can spread into the forearm and wrist.
